Come over!

Postcard IDUA-955902
Country: Ukraine

Oh, I have a story regarding this postcard. Some months ago I received a postcard without Postcard Id, but with name Nastya and with user name. I used Postcrossing search to find Id for the card that was sent to me by Nastya from Kyiv. Id was found, I registered a postcard and found out that user name is another than on the card.
So the I found a user by user name, sent a message to her. And found that this girl sent me this card not through postcrossing, I gave her my address on another resource! But postcard was already registered...

Some weeks after that I received postcard from this post. Again without Postcard Id. And again from Nastya from Kyiv. So I decided that this is right card. Postcrossing Search could not help me to find the correct Postcard Id due to lack of the info..

Domestic cats

Postcard IDUA-1213281
Country: Ukraine

I like cats and after receiving this card I want to have one, especially black cat :)

Here is some official info:
The domestic cat is a small, usually furry, domesticated, and carnivorous mammal. They are often called a housecat when kept as an indoor pet, or simply a cat when there is no need to distinguish them from other felids and felines. Cats are often valued by humans for companionship, and their ability to hunt vermin and household pests.

I think that everyone know who is a cat :)

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, USA

Postcard IDUS-3127222
Country: USA

Yeah, it's my first UNESCO site postcards from USA! I so like beautiful nature and already in love with this park :)
And thanks for the nice story, Alison! ;)

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a United States National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site that straddles the ridgeline of the Great Smoky Mountains, part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which are a division of the larger Appalachian Mountain chain. The border between Tennessee and North Carolina runs northeast to southwest through the centerline of the park. It is the most visited national park in the United States. On its route from Maine to Georgia, the Appalachian Trail also passes through the center of the park. The park was chartered by the United States Congress in 1934 and officially dedicated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1940. It encompasses 522,419 acres (816.28 sq mi; 2,114.15 km2), making it one of the largest protected areas in the eastern United States. The main park entrances are located along U.S. Highway 441 (Newfound Gap Road) at the towns of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Cherokee, North Carolina. It was the first national park whose land and other costs were paid for in part with federal funds; previous parks were funded wholly with state money or private funds.

A combination Grateful Dead music with butterfly :)

Postcard IDUS-3106626
Country: USA

Firstly I saw this colourful postcard and was alredy happy! Butterfly is all I need for happiness :) after love, sure, hehe :)
Then I read the text on the backside and knew that images inside the butterfly are combined from music Gareful Dead. After that I opened youtube and listened to some sings, but no, it's not my music. However postcard is still great! :)

The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. The band was known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, country, improvisational jazz, psychedelia, and space rock, and for live performances of long musical improvisation. "Their music," writes Lenny Kaye, "touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists." These various influences were distilled into a diverse and psychedelic whole that made the Grateful Dead "the pioneering Godfathers of the jam band world". They were ranked 57th in the issue The Greatest Artists of all Time by Rolling Stone magazine. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and their Barton Hall Concert at Cornell University (May 8, 1977) was added to the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. The Grateful Dead have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.

Guangji Gate Tower, China

Postcard IDCN-1433620
Country: China

Guangji Gate Tower is often regarded as the most spectacular one among seven ancient city gates of Chaozhou. The gate tower is constructed in 1370 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is the most prominent symbol of Chaozhou City today. Featured by the distinctive architectural style and the grand fortifications, this gate tower is surely a must-see landmark for visitors and locals alike.

Stands to the west of Xiangzi Bridge, Guangji Gate Tower occupies a prominent position in the center of Chaozhou City, it is well-preserved till today as a good example of this kind historic construction. Erected on a large, thick platform, this magnificent construction is a three-storey tower, and the architectural style outwardly resembles that of a palace. In the center of the first floor stands an impressive arch, at a height of 11.9 feet and a width of 9.5 feet. Hanging on the third floor is a gigantic bronze bell, made in 1134 during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). Guangji Gate Tower presents a pretty majestic and imposing sight for it was double-crowned with green tiles and constructed with red walls, as well as decorated with the delicate carvings, scarlet pillars and fine traceried windows.

David and Goliath, Turkey

Postcard IDTR-206361
Country: Turkey

Turkey is a country that has many attractions for tourists. Image on this postcard is one of them :)

Goliath or Goliath of Gath (one of five city states of the Philistines) is a giant Philistine warrior defeated by the young David, the future king of Israel, in the Bible's Books of Samuel (1 Samuel 17).

The original purpose of the story was to show David's identity as the true king of Israel. Post-Classical Jewish traditions stressed Goliath's status as the representative of paganism, in contrast to David, the champion of the God of Israel. Christian tradition gave him a distinctively Christian perspective, seeing in David's battle with Goliath the victory of God's king over the enemies of God's helpless people as a prefiguring of Jesus' victory over sin on the cross and the Church's victory over Satan.

The German islands are in the traditional region of North Frisia and are part of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park and the Kreis (district) of Nordfriesland. Oh, I so like different traditional patterns! Gzhel and Khokhloma are my favourites, maybe it's cause they both are Russian, it's so close to me.

Khokhloma or Khokhloma painting is the name of a Russian wood painting handicraft style and national ornament, known for its vivid flower patterns, red and gold colors over a black background, and the effect it has when applied to wooden tableware or furniture, making it look heavier and metal-like

Thymelicus lineola

Postcard IDFI-2251822
Country: Finland

My mailbox is getting happy again and again with each new butterfly postcard :) this one flew to me from Finland.

The Essex skipper (Thymelicus lineola) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. In North America, it is known as the European skipper.

With a wingspan of 2.5 to 2.9 cm it is very similar in appearance to the small skipper Thymelicus sylvestris. They can be told apart by the undersides of the tips of the antennae: the Essex skipper's are black whereas those of the small skipper are orange. This butterfly occurs throughout much of the Palaearctic region. Its range spreads from southern Scandinavia through Europe to North Africa and east to Central Asia It was only identified in the UK in 1889 and its range is expanding both in England and in northern Europe. In North America, this butterfly was accidentally introduced in 1910 via London, Ontario and has spread across southern Canada and to several northern US states.

Also this postcard has gorgeous Finnish flag:
