This card is just amazing! Now I want to visit this place and see this beauty with my own eyes! I think that now I have one more association with Australia :)

Lavandula (common name lavender) is a genus of 39 known species of flowering plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. It is native to the Old World and is found from Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, southern Europe across to northern and eastern Africa, the Mediterranean, southwest Asia to southeast India. Many members of the genus are cultivated extensively in temperate climates as ornamental plants for garden and landscape use, for use as culinary herbs, and also commercially for the extraction of essential oils. The most widely cultivated species, Lavandula angustifolia is often referred to as lavender, and there is a colour named for the shade of the flowers of this species.

The sender didn't provide any info about this postcard. I think that it can be photo made my the sender. On the backside I see German stamps, but nature looks like here in Belarus or other our neighbor countries :)

In any case I like fields full of flowers.

This card shows how wonderful and colourful world around us. Birds, butterfly, bee - they are so small, but looks so wonderful. It's a real miracle of nature. Why don't people fly?

The sender wrote that this is the typical Finnish summer. However when I found this card in my mailbox I thought that ths came to me from Russia. In my mind birch is absolutely Russian tree :)

Birch is a broadleaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus Betula in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams, and is closely related to the beech/oak family, Fagaceae. The genus Betula contains 30 to 60 known taxa of which 11 are on the IUCN 2011 Red List of Threatened Species. They are typically rather short-lived pioneer species widespread in the Northern Hemisphere, particularly in northern temperate and boreal climates. This tree is sometimes called "The Watchful Tree" because of eye-like impressions on the bark.
